My name is Dr. Chidrup Tripathi, and I am a board-certified adult and geriatric psychiatrist. I specialize in helping older adults and their families navigate the emotional, cognitive, and life changes that can accompany aging.

As an osteopathic physician, I take a holistic approach, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, and the individual’s values, relationships, and life experiences. I work with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, memory concerns, caregiver stress, and major life transitions such as retirement, illness, or changes in independence.

I am particularly interested in the treatment of late-life depression and helping individuals regain a sense of purpose and enhance their quality of life. I also recognize that these challenges affect not only the individual but often the entire family. Whenever appropriate, I incorporate family members into the evaluation and treatment process, helping improve communication, strengthen relationships, and support caregivers.

I intentionally maintain a small practice so that I can provide thoughtful, individualized care and develop meaningful relationships with my patients and their families. By limiting the size of my practice, I am able to offer a level of responsiveness, continuity, and personalized attention that is often difficult to achieve in larger clinical settings.

Effective psychiatric care begins with listening. My goal is to create a warm, respectful, and collaborative environment where patients and families are actively involved in decisions surrounding their well-being.
